The 2027 preparatory procedure for Carbon Contracts for Difference begins today. Applications can be submitted up to and including 14 December 2026.

The deadline for submitting bids for the 2026 bidding procedure was 9 September 2026. A total of 21 bids were submitted. 

Delegations from South Korea, India and Australia visited Berlin to find out about the German programme to promote low-carbon production processes.

Companies can now apply for a Carbon Contracts for Difference. The deadline for submissions for the 2026 bidding procedure is 7 September 2026.

Yesterday the first Carbon Contracts for Difference were handed over to 15 German industrial companies at the Federal Ministry of Economics.
